#theforum2014: Broker mortgage market share could hit 65% by year-end – Rickards

That’s good news… I suppose it’s because we have the capacity and are compliant with good quality business and let’s not forget cheap!

Review proc fees in our favour given we are needed to for fill your lending requirements given you don’t have capacity or the investment to develop your branch or telephone network. BM are intermediary only BUT Halifax are not…

#theforum2014: FCA accused of over-zealous approach to buy-to-let ‘gaming’

This issue is easy to resolve by regulating BTL mortgages and ensure all applicants go through the same process as a residential mortgage applicants..

Unfair for brokers to blame ‘slowlicitors’ – Broker Conveyancing

My personal view is that firms (conveyance or solicitor) move at their own pace which I consider to be reasonable. The people who don’t deem it reasonable are the clueless, greedy non property owning kids in the estate agency industry?

Unfair for brokers to blame ‘slowlicitors’ – Broker Conveyancing

A great pity that ‘Pointed’ doesn’t say what part of the chain he represents because then one would known whether he was being bias or neutral.

I do come from both sides (insurance brokerage and estate agency) and my overall experience during the last six months has been solicitors/conveyancers have been dilatory in the way they treat clients.

Call them to see how things are progressing and if their not immediately available, they’ll call back when it suits them – asked for the person handling a specific case and that person is either off for the day, away from their desk or with a client, so you say “okay so can you get them to call me back on (and you give the number you can be called on)”, unfortunately they generally do not call back – even if you have sent an email message urging them to.

What does happen is a client from our end thinks we are not doing our job, so yes I believe criticism and blame has been fairly apportioned

Unfair for brokers to blame ‘slowlicitors’ – Broker Conveyancing

I disagree it tend to be the smaller firms that provide the best service and value for money. the big firms such are repeatedly terrible and everyone we speak to hates that certain mortgage companies use them.

To the extent they won’t deal with those mortgage companies because the solicitor is so bad! Broker and estate agents firm.

hmmmmm
