Commission levels in protection ‘not high enough’
I think this is absolute rubbish, advisers shouldn’t sell protection because it earns a certain amount of commission.
They should be spending the time required to educate the clients about the importance of protection and the consequences of not being protected while taking into consideration their duty of care to the client.
Too many advisers are worried about the clawbacks which again if the protection is ‘sold correctly’ with understanding from the clients and things such as trusts are considered where needed and warranted then the clawbacks won’t happen so often.
