Pearce takes over HSBC mortgage distribution from Uhi
Tracie Pearce has taken over from Jackie Uhi to head up mortgage distribution for HSBC.

Jackie Uhi has been appointed interim head of network at HSBC, leaving her role as head of mortgage distribution after two and half years.

Uhi will be responsible for the bank’s 622-strong branch network. She replaces Richard Harrison as head of network and premier, who has left the business.

Uhi joined HSBC in February 2017 to grow the bank’s intermediary partnerships after it entered the adviser market in August 2015.

Meanwhile Tracie Pearce, formerly head of banking and propositions, has become director of retail banking.

Pearce will be responsible for mortgage distribution, underwriting and the intermediary business in addition to leading her existing team of retail product experts.

A HSBC spokesman said: “Jackie has been an integral part of HSBC UK’s expansion into the broker market, taking us from pure entrants into the market to having almost 140 broker partners in just a few years. Our focus on this important market will continue.

Her move, said the spokesman, was part of the bank’s “ongoing drive to develop our senior leaders”.
