Laterlivingnow makes double appointments
Equity release broker Laterlivingnow has appointed Nick Dutton and Kaye Wallis to further expand the team.

Dutton joins as the firm’s fifth laterliving planner. He has 14 years of experience in equity release and 18 years of experience as a financial adviser.

Dutton said: “Laterlivingnow is a company that requires its advisers to maintain standards well above the baseline, differentiating itself from the rest of the market. They actively encourage advisers to use flair and to flex their expertise, avoiding the straitjacket tick-box method rightly criticised by the regulator in their sector reviews.

“This combination of professional freedom and ability to direct my advice in a more personal manner, makes for a compelling proposition to both me, my introducers, and most crucially my clients.”

Wallis (pictured) has worked in the property market for over 30 years, holding management roles at various housebuilders and estate agencies including St Mowden Homes and Keepmoat Homes.

She will join Laterlivingnow in the newly created role of relationship director and have the responsibility of managing the firm’s relationships with introducers, supporting the adviser team and liaising with providers.

Wallis said: “My role is really diverse, pulling together everything from working alongside colleagues, to handling marketing, and our newly installed CRM. I’ll be the ‘go-to’ person for many aspects of running the operation, freeing-up more of our managing director’s time as we implement our growth plans.”

Simon Chalk, managing director of Laterlivingnow, added: “In the mini Budget aftermath, the equity release sector’s relentless march stalled in late 2022. Yet the drivers for its resurgence have not gone away; we will see growth for decades to come. Our market is experiencing but a short-term hiccough, so we will continue without a break in our program of investment in the right people and processes.
“Nick brings not only vast experience and technical ability to the team, but his own long-standing professional connections. I hugely admire advisers who put in the hard graft, building their own introducer relationships.

“Kaye’s role will be the most varied here, pulling together all areas of the business. Her extensive experience and knowledge of the housing sector, will give us an added perspective. I am absolutely thrilled to welcome them both to the business.”
