Legal & General has launched the second part of its Mortgage Code Compliance Board Tool Kit. This section covers training and competency requirements and completes the kit, produced to support mortgage business partners to meet fitness and properness obligations.

To meet the requirements of the Mortgage Code, intermediaries will have to set up training and competency structures within their companies, including a ‘statement of competency,’ staff assessment, training systems and continuing monitoring and development of registered mortgage advisers.
