The Ministry of Justice has confirmed that the Claims Management Regulator is investigating claim management firm, Cartel Client Review.

The Manchester based claims firm, which launched in 1997 and which describes itself as the UK’s largest and fastest growing financial claims management company, deals with claims surrounding credit cards, mortgages, car finance, repossessions, unsecured loans and bank charges.

A spokesperson for the Claims Management Regulator said: “The Claims Management Regulator is investigating Cartel Client Review Ltd and associated businesses. We are not able to comment on the specific issues we are investigating as to do so could jeopardise the progress and outcome of these investigations.”

Cartel Client Review has trained over 4,000 representatives, a huge proportion of whom are financial advisers, to act as agents for the firm.

Cartel was unavailable for comment.
