Mansfield Building Society has upgraded its online application process to allow brokers to upload supporting documents to be submitted with the mortgage application.

The secure upload facility is the latest development to be made in the planned upgrade of the society’s online mortgage process.

Stuart Bryce, business development manager at the Mansfield, said the aim of the enhancement was about improving service without compromising its common-sense underwriting approach.

He said brokers had asked for a streamlined online application process and an easier way to deal with the Mansfield.

Mansfield Building Society saw a rise of 49% in its completions in the first half of the year up from £22m to £34m.

In June the society appointed Jeremy Cross as chairman replacing Nigel Tamplin who retired after nine years of service with the society.
