Solent Mortgage Services (SMS), the independent mortgage distributor, has launched online processing software offering agreements in principle and pre-populated application forms.

The system offers an online Application in Principle (AIP) with lender criteria check, credit questions also bench marked against provider criteria and delivers a report on the chosen lender with all fees and costs. The software also offers full case tracking and document upload.

Ian Balfour (pictured), CEO at SMS, said: “This is the first part of the project we are delivering to our introducers. Further ongoing development will be around making the whole process easier and quicker for the broker and lenders on our systems.”

“In the end it is about better outcomes for the end consumer,” he added.

Openwork signed a long-term specialist packaging deal with Solent Mortgage Services (SMS), in June last year and committed to ‘significant investment’ in the network.

Following a formal tendering process, Openwork chose to invest significantly in Solent’s services including development of a new website for advisers and a new single application form across all panel lenders.
