Metro Bank has appointed Jeremy Cook as head of corporate relationships within its mortgage team.

Cook (pictured) will join from Nationwide Building Society on 2 April where he is currently senior manager for new build.

He will oversee the management of key corporate relationships and work closely with major networks, clubs and intermediary firms as the bank continues to expand its mortgage services.

Cook has more than 30 years’ experience in the sector, splitting the last two decades between former insurer Friends Provident and then Nationwide.

Cook said the role provided a great opportunity to utilise his skills and experience to achieve the business’ aims.

Metro Bank director of mortgage distribution Charles Morley added: “Jeremy’s customer-focused approach means he’s developed strong and extensive relationships across the industry and I look forward to him bringing this unrelenting focus on the customer to the banking revolution in April.”
