Santander has announced rate cuts across its buy-to-let (BTL) and residential mortgage rates for new and existing borrowers.

Reductions of up to 0.18% have been made and will be effective from 19 August. 

This includes the BTL purchase range, where the two-year fix at 60% loan to value (LTV) with a £1,749 fee has fallen by the headline rate to 4.39%, and the fee-free option by the same amount to 4.89%. 

At 75% LTV, the corresponding rates have been cut to 4.5% and 5% following reductions of 0.18%. 

For residential borrowers, the two-year fixed homemover deal at 60% LTV with a £1,499 fee and £250 cashback has been cut by 0.1% to 4.47%, and the option with a £999 fee has been reduced by 0.08% to 4.54%. With no fee, the mortgage rate has been reduced by 0.08% to 4.79%. 

At 75% LTV, the two-year fixed homemover rate with a £1,499 fee and £250 cashback has been reduced by 0.1% to 4.58%, while the £999 fee-paying option has fallen by 0.08% to 4.65%. With no fee, the rate has been reduced by 0.08% to 4.9%.

Across its product transfers, Santander has lowered most residential rates by as much as 0.13% and all BTL rates by 0.1%.
