Nigel Stockton leaves LBG for Countrywide
Nigel Stockton, sales director for mortgages with Lloyds Banking Group, leaves the bank to take up a new role at mortgage broker and property services group Countrywide as financial services development director.

Grenville Turner, group chief executive of Countrywide, said: “Nigel brings a wealth of experience to this new role after nearly 20 years in the lending industry and will be using his expertise to help build on our position as the UK’s largest mortgage broker.

“I’m keen to ensure that we continue to build on the fantastic progress we’ve made in recent years to explore new ventures and opportunities, and Nigel will play an important role as part of our senior management team to drive the company’s future direction.”

Stockton added: “I’m thrilled to be joining Countrywide and seeing how I can develop new growth opportunities to make it even more successful.”

Stockton will join the senior management team at Countrywide on 1 October.

Countrywide is the UK’s largest mortgage broker employing nearly 700 consultants and largest estate agency and lettings network, with approximately 1300 branches.

The firm is also the UK’s largest transactional conveyancer and employer of chartered surveyors.
