xit2, the property data portal, has announced it is launching a road show to publicise its new iPad–compatible system for independent and corporate surveyors.

The new system includes comparables provided by Rightmove+, GPS routing, scheduling and handwritten side notes which it stores alongside the valuation report.

Tim Jones, head of sales at xit2, said: “Our new service package recognises the pressure independent surveyors are facing in a low transaction market.  It aims to help them manage their costs.

“Our mobile solution developed initially with the iPad will be of particular interest in the corporate environment where efficiency improvements are always being pursued.”

He added: “As well as introducing surveyors to our new services, this will be an opportunity to discuss key issues that concern them and talk about what surveyors want from us in the future.”

The group is also set to demonstrate the features of its new surveyor support package including a service centre to book appointments for surveyors, a dictation service, and a new communication forum.
