Currently sales and marketing director, Dale Jannels will now take on overall responsibility for the performance of AToM, as Vic Jannels becomes chairman of the firm.
Vic, who founded AToM in 1991, insisted he was not retiring and would remain chairman of AToM for “at least the next year or so”, taking on discussions with lenders and stakeholders.
Dale’s appointment is part of several internal changes at AToM, with board member Tim Henson, the company’s governance director, taking on the additional role of managing regulated activity.
Administration will be managed by Neal Jannels, Dale’s brother, who also runs AToM’s subsidiary Horsham Business Services, a website design and management firm.
Sheila Jannels, Vic’s wife, will continue as finance director of AToM.
Vic Jannels said: “The AToM brand has been ‘work in progress’ for the last 20 years and has grown into the animal it is today through sheer hard work and dedication in both good times and bad. It is now time for me to hand over the day-to-day management and control of the business to a younger set who can continue to mould and grow the business over the next generation.”
Dale said: “I am really looking forward to this new challenge. Our sector of the market has had a great resurgence recently and our complex prime proposition is very popular.
“We have a great team and working closely with them, I hope we will continue to keep AToM at the forefront of the specialist packager/distributor sector.”
