Abbey launches limited fixed rate exclusives from 2.89%

Abbey for Intermediaries has again launched two limited offer key account exclusives, available for one week only, with fixed rates from 2.89%.

The deals are available for both homebuyers and remortgagers, and include a two-year fixed rate at 2.89%, with a £995 fee up to 60% LTV, and a five-year fixed rate at 4.99%, with no fee, up to 85% LTV.

Abbey has also launched two-year year fixed rate homebuyer and remortgage products, available up to 75% LTV at 3.39%, with a £995 fee.

It has also cut interest rates by up to 0.25% across its two-year fixed and tracker range.

Rate cuts include its two-year fixed rate up to 85% LTV exclusively for homebuyers with a Santander current account, which has been cut to 4.64% with a £745 fee.

Its two-year fixed rate up to 85% LTV for homebuyers is now 4.64% with a £995 fee, while its two-year tracker up to 75% LTV for remortgages is now 2.39% with a 1.5% fee.

Meanwhile, the Post Office has also cut interest rates by up to 0.64% across its range.

The deals include a fee-free two-year fix at 4.55% available up to 85% LTV, its fee-assisted two-year fix at 4.35% available up to 85% LTV, and its buy-to-let two-year fix with a £1,495 fee at 4.95% available up to 75% LTV.

In addition, its two-year fixed rate deal with a £995 fee up to 90% LTV has been cut from 5.75% to 5.39%. The same deal at 85% LTV has been reduced from 4.29% to 4.05%, while the five-year fix with a £995 fee up to 90% LTV, has been cut from 6.79% to 6.15%.

Mike Cook, head of mortgages at the Post Office, said: “We have some very compelling offers for first-time buyers and remortgagers, including options from as little as 10% deposit, many with standard valuation and £300 cashback included.”
