Held at the Merchant Taylors’ Hall in London and hosted by Mortgage Solutions, the awards recognise the excellence and achievements of providers, financial advisers and supporting firms across the equity release sector, in what remain challenging times.
Voted for by Mortgage Solutions readers, the black tie event saw LV= named Best Provider Lifetime Mortgages, while Bridgewater Equity Release took home the award for Best Provider Home Reversion, both for the second year in a row.
In addition, Stonehaven won the award for Best Provider for Adviser Support.
In the broker categories, Bower Retirement Services took home both the award for Best Financial Adviser with more than ten employees and Best Overall Adviser.
The award for Best Financial Adviser with fewer than ten employees was won by Emerald Finance.
In addition, firms from the technology, conveyancing and surveying sectors were also recognised for their work in equity release, with Avelo Exchange named Best Technology Provider and Equilaw winning Best Conveyancer.
The Best Surveyor award was taken home by Countrywide.
And in a further coup for Bower Retirement Services, its managing director Geoff Charles won the Outstanding Contribution award, recognising his personal dedication to and positive impact upon the equity release sector.
