Conference to discuss housing market future
Myhomemove is set to host a housing conference which will discuss the outlook for the housing market in the wake of the Conservative election victory.

The conference in Burton-on-Trent on 20 May will see leading figures from the property industry take part in a panel session to share their views on what could lead to major changes in the market.

The panel includes Rightmove’s Miles Shipside, Bob Young from Fleet Mortgages, Steve Goodall at L&G Surveying, Mark Hayward from the National Association of Estate Agents, and Michael Bruce from Purple Bricks.

Doug Crawford, CEO at myhomemove, said: “We are thrilled to have such a high calibre of industry experts joining us for our housing conference to discuss the UK housing market, particularly as the new Conservative Government considers the detail of its policy agenda for the market over the next five years.

“The conference will be a forum for experts across the industry to discuss the future of the market, and we look forward to the insightful views that the panellists and other keynote speakers have to offer. The political uncertainty in the run-up to the election caused a slight decline in the UK housing market, so it will be interesting to see, in light of the results, the conditions our speakers believe are needed to balance supply and demand and create a sustainable housing market.”

The conference will be held at The Hilton, St George’s Park, Burton-upon-Trent.
