Shakespeare Martineau to run mortgage broker-focused housing conference
Top 50 law firm Shakespeare Martineau is running a mortgage and housing conference aimed at mortgage advisers in Birmingham on 1 October.

The housing market, lending into retirement, mortgage prisoners, and mortgage product innovation will all be under the spotlight on the day, which starts with registration at 10 o’clock.

Following a session on the direction of the housing market from Andy Raynor, CEO of Shakespeare Martineau, Castle Trust’s Matthew Wyles will lead a session on the contentious tax changes for buy-to-let landlords asking will this mark the end of the bull run for the sector?

A raft of housing specialists including Paul Broadhead, head of mortgage policy at the Building Society Association, Victoria Hartley group editor of Mortgage Solutions and Ben Thompson managing director of ULS Group will also join a BBC question time panel debate in the last session of the day.

The event will be held at Shakespeare Martineau at No 1 Colmore Square, Birmingham, B4 6AA.
