The AA plans Q3 mortgage launch
AA Financial Services' plans to begin mortgage lending are “well on the way” with a market launch planned for quarter three of this year.

A spokesman for the firm said the AA was currently awaiting regulatory approval and had a team working on developing a product range.

It was reported in July last year that the AA was planning a 2016 mortgage launch in partnership with the Bank of Ireland.

The AA would not reveal details on what its products will look like.

“Our mortgage launch is well on the way with a range of products in development, but this is still dependent on approval from the regulator. The AA already provides a range of personal finance products as well as home emergency cover and has good credentials in both these areas,” a spokesman said.

The AA will lend under the brand AA Mortgages.

Bank of Ireland was unavailable for comment at the time of writing.
