Legal and General to release broker API version of Smart Quote software
Legal and General is set to release an Application Programming Interface (API) ready version of its Smart Quote general insurance system for brokers.

The software is already available on a direct to consumer basis through the Legal and General (L&G) website.

The broker API-version will be ready to integrate with adviser administrative systems, meaning quotes for general insurance products can be generated directly from CRM data.

The platform will only offer Legal and General (L&G) general insurance products.

L&G director of intermediary Craig Brown (pictured) told Mortgage Solutions the insurer was still working with potential partners.

“We hope to release it in early 2018 and the list of partners we will be releasing it with is still to be confirmed,” he said.
