Mortgage Brain partners with Mutual Vision for Irish lending platform
Mortgage Brain’s Mortgage Trading Exchange (MTE) will be integrated into Mutual Vision Technology’s offering, which provides banking software to building societies and small banks.

The integrated platform will target lenders in the Republic of Ireland.

MTE is used as a trading platform by advisers and lenders, and establishes a gateway for the electronic completion, submission, tracking and administration of applications in principle (AIPs) and full applications.

Mutual Vision provides loans and savings software to small banks and building societies. It said the partnership will allow lenders who employ their platforms to widen their access to advisers by connecting to the Irish brokers who use MTE.

Mortgage Brain added that this will facilitate faster time to market for lenders.

George Webb, chief executive officer of Mutual Vision, commented: “We have selected Mortgage Brain because it has the most widely used and preferred electronic trading software in the UK and Irish markets.

“MTE allows brokers to do business with lenders digitally and all from one place. The deep distribution capability in Ireland means that a lender can access the broker market very quickly and ramp-up loan volume.”

Mortgage Brain chief executive officer Mark Lofthouse (pictured) added: “We believe that the Irish mortgage market is set for steady growth, particularly as housing supply is set to see a significant increase.

“Ireland is a natural market for us and we want to be ready for the anticipated entry of new lenders over the next few years.”
