Landbay, the specialist buy-to-let mortgage lender, has appointed Rob Stanton as a regional account manager for the Midlands.

Stanton (pictured) joins the lender from Paragon, where he spent 15 years as a senior underwriter and a regional manager working with intermediaries in the same area.

He will be focusing on strengthening existing relationships with brokers throughout the region, as well as creating and building new relationships.

Landbay said this hire is part of a wider strategy to strengthen its regional presence, following Ian Hall’s appointment in June as regional account manager for the North.

The lender said that after a year of regulatory changes, the demand for specialist lenders with buy-to-let expertise was growing throughout the UK and as such so was the need for regional presence and expertise.

Stanton said: “I am looking forward to joining Landbay at a time where the specialist market is growing at an impressive rate, and I hope my experience of the sector can help the continued growth and success of the company.”

Paul Brett, managing director intermediaries at Landbay, said: “Rob’s expertise and experience will strengthen our regional proposition, and help us continue to deliver excellence to our brokers.

“The business is going from strength to strength, with record lending volumes each month and expectations of profitability in the next quarter. The expansion of our team reflects this success and should accelerate our growth further in the coming months.”
