Magellan Homeloans appoints regional accounts manager team
Magellan Homeloans has appointed a new team of regional account managers (RAMs) aimed at providing a single point of contact for intermediaries.

Each regional account manager will have the knowledge and flexibility to discuss applications on a one-to-one basis and will partner and work closely with a designated regional sales manager (RSM).

The new team is based across Magellan’s two sites – in Surrey and Birmingham.

Sarah Bennett, who is responsible for leading the team, will be based at the head office in Surrey together with Sam Nasim and Susan Williams.

Meanwhile Nick Ashton, Richard Murphy and Sunny Dhanda are based in the recently opened Birmingham office.

While Bennett, Nasim and Williams are internal appointments, Ashton, Murphy and Dhanda are external.

A spokesperson from Magellan told Mortgage Solutions that Dhanda covered a mortgage operations role at West Bromwich Building Society before joining the lender.

Ashton was an independent mortgage broker while Murphy was an energy consultant with senior account management experience.

Support application process

Magellan said its aim was to support brokers and packagers throughout the application process, improving the speed, ensuring all required documentation is submitted only once and maintaining regular communication on each case.

Managing director Simon Read (pictured) said the new team’s roles were fundamental in helping reach the goal of being one of the go-to lenders in the market.

He added: “They are the linchpin between our customers and our internal teams, ensuring each gets the necessary information they need to progress cases in the least time possible and at the highest quality.

“The extensive range and depth of experience our RAMs bring to the table gives them valuable insight in understanding the challenges and demands brokers face,” he added.
