Mortgage lender graduate among Apprentice contestants
One of the contestants in this year’s series of The Apprentice started his career in the mortgage industry.

Kenna Ngoma spent two years at Together on the lender’s graduate scheme.

It consisted of four six month placements within various departments at the company, and took in the treasury team, commercial operations, retentions and IT.

Ngoma, who has also been a semi-professional footballer, has since set up his own ice cream business. Beaumonde Desserts creates vegan, alcohol-infused ice cream, with flavours inspired by Tanzania, where he was born.

He graduated from the University of Gloucester with a degree in business administration and management.

Ngoma is one of 16 contestants in this year’s show, the 15th series of The Apprentice broadcast on the BBC. The winner will receive a £250,000 investment in their business idea from Lord Sugar.

Marc Goldberg, commercial CEO at Together, commented: “We knew Kenna had the great potential needed to succeed in business when he joined us on our graduate programme. He really proved his worth during nearly two years with us.

“He’s a great character and was a really popular colleague while he was at Together. I’m sure the whole business wishes him well and are looking forward to seeing him succeed against the other candidates – and under intense scrutiny from Lord Sugar.”
