Mark Hollands, previously national sales manager, has been appointed head of sales and distribution. Hollands will be managing the key accounts team and is responsible for Bluestone’s distribution strategy and corporate account management.
Joe Akosah has been promoted from marketing manager to head of marketing. He will focus on marketing and lead generation for the business, including digital, events and content creation.
Niamh Downey has been promoted to team manager of the company’s business development managers (BDM). She was previously BDM team leader.
Downey will now have overall responsibility for the BDM teams in both the London and Sheffield offices. She will be working closely with the senior management team to drive the business’ telephony strategy as well as ensuring the BDM team provides quality service to Bluestone’s broker partners.
Harry Pleasance has been promoted from a BDM to BDM team leader. In his new role, Pleasance will be responsible for managing the London-based BDM team, and working closely with the management team across all departments.

Business-owners include a mix of private and institutional shareholders including Australia’s Macquarie Bank, interests associated with Bluestone’s founder and chairman, Alistair Jeffery, and the management team and staff.
