Leeds BS hires Erb as operations and infrastructure director
Leeds Building Society has appointed Kate Erb (pictured) as director of operations and infrastructure, where she will be at the centre of its “transformation agenda”.

The firm said that she was a “wealth of knowledge in transformational change, operations and resilience” and her appointment strengthened the senior transformation and operations team at the mutual.

Prior to joining the mutual, she worked at Aspinall Financial Services as chief operating officer for around two years.

Before that she was chief operating officer at Vive. Erb previously worked at Oakbrook Finance for nearly five years in various roles.

She was as head of product strategy at Coles for around three years, and worked at Capital One Bank for over 11 years.

Leeds BS: ‘A pleasure to welcome Kate’

Rob Howse, chief operating officer at Leeds Building Society, said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Kate to the society.

“She’s already proven that she is a highly engaged and versatile leader, and she will be at the heart of our exciting transformation agenda that will equip our colleagues with the technology and tools to deliver on our purpose all while continuing to strengthen our resilience.”

Erb said: “I am delighted to have joined the team at Leeds Building Society. In these first few weeks in role, as throughout the recruitment process, I have been thoroughly impressed with the culture, and the fact that the society’s purpose is truly at the heart of all activity.

“Everything we are doing is working towards the aim of putting home ownership within reach of more people, generation after generation. I am thrilled to be able to mobilise teams to deliver against that.”
