Earl Shilton Building Society (ESBS) has strengthen its leadership team with two promotions.

Emma York (pictured) has moved into the role of risk and compliance manager taking over from Sally Hunt who retired after 44 years with ESBS. York was previously the senior risk and compliance assistant.

York brings 10 years of experience in compliance, risk, and anti-money laundering to the executive leadership team.

“I thoroughly enjoy working for a small and friendly society where we really can make a difference, and I am dedicated to maintaining our excellent reputation within the community,” said York.

Within the society’s lending team, Sharon Sutton has stepped up to the role of senior mortgage underwriter. Sutton has a background in finance and joined ESBS in 2013.

ESBS’ chief executive Paul Tilley said: “Congratulations to Emma and Sharon for all their hard work in the last decade; these promotions are well deserved. I’m delighted our team can evolve and enjoy fulfilling careers here at the Society.”
