Coulton joins First2Protect as strategic partnerships director
First2Protect has appointed Brian Coulton as strategic partnerships director to help the firm continue to “solidify its position”.

He joins the firm as strategic partnerships director, where he will lead the company’s strategic initiatives which include “advancing innovation, enhancing customer experiences, and steering the company towards sustainable growth”.

Coulton was most recently at Paymentshield for around four years as strategic partnerships manager and national account manager for nearly three years after working at Source Insurance for around 12 years, most recently as head of sales and distribution.

He has also worked at Paymentshield and Coleman Research Group.

First2Protect provides home insurance, landlord insurance, tenant insurance and specialist insurance.

The firm was previously owned by LSL but was sold off in April last year along with Embrace to Pivotal Growth.

Pivotal Growth was set up in 2020 as part of a joint venture with Pollen Street Capital to create a “buy and build” national mortgage broker.

Mark Batten, managing director at First2Protect, said: “We are delighted to welcome Brian Coulton to the First2Protect family. His impressive background in strategic leadership aligns seamlessly with our vision for the future, and we are confident that his expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of First2Protect.

“Brian’s appointment underscores our commitment to delivering unmatched value to our clients and reinforces our dedication to innovation and excellence.”

Coulton added: “I am excited to join First2Protect, a company renowned for its commitment to excellence and customer-centric approach. I look forward to collaborating with the talented team at First2Protect and contributing to the company’s ongoing success in delivering innovative insurance solutions.”
