Espley will lead Finova’s technology strategy with a focus on innovation, customer outcomes and scaling its product suite according to the needs of its lender and broker clients.
Espley has more than 20 years of experience in technology and product development leadership roles across financial services, energy and legal technology. He joins from Kaluza, where he was CTO and led a team of more than 400 people across the UK, EU, North America and Australia to provide artificial intelligence (AI) driven platforms for energy retailers.
Prior to this, he was CTO at Hargreaves Lansdown, where he led digital product delivery and before this was at LexisNexis, responsible for a global technology budget of more than £44m and introducing cloud migration processes.
At Finova, Espley will be tasked with advancing its technology strategy, utilising AI and cloud-native technologies to improve the customer experience and drive innovation.
His appointment comes after the recent recruitment of Finova’s new CEO, Gareth Richardson.
