She joins from United Trust Bank (UTB), where she worked for over five years, most recently as head of network and club distribution.
Investec said her appointment would build on its private banking proposition and enhance the team’s ability to support clients and their individual needs.
Oades will be responsible for managing a portfolio of professional clients within Investec’s private client team, with a focus on building relationships and helping clients achieve their banking goals.
Investec also aims to deepen expertise across its private banking business and develop the support available to professionals with a responsive service, tailored solutions and consistent relationship management.
