Mortgages for Business appoints finance director
Specialist broker Mortgages for Business has appointed William Grove as finance director.

Grove joins from Towergate where he was head of operational finance for the insurance broking division.

He takes over from Simon Whittaker who becomes CFO of the Property Business Group, the parent company of both Mortgages for Business and lending brand Keystone Property Finance.

In his new role, Whittaker will focus on strategic opportunities.

Whittaker said: “William is taking on the day-to-day operational responsibility for both finance and compliance. In particular, he will be looking for ways to improve efficiency.”

Grove qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in 1991. Since then he has worked in several industries including shipbroking and entertainment. Alongside accountancy, he has a career in the Army Reserves.

Mortgages for Business specialises in buy to let, complex residential and commercial mortgages. It also brokers short term and property development finance.
