Ryan boasts nearly two decades of experience in commercial finance, having held senior executive and strategy roles across a range of financial services businesses in the UK, Germany, Sweden and Indonesia.

He joins from Siemens Financial Services, where he was global head of invoice finance, while he also spent time as head of global operations at the business as well as CEO for both Indonesia and the Nordics.

Ryan takes up his role on 1 September, reporting to Jonathan Andrew, Bibby’s global chief executive.

Andrew said that Bibby was confident of growing its support for SMEs in the UK under Ryan’s stewardship, stating: “We want to embrace the fourth industrial revolution and digital technology to enhance the entire customer journey for new and existing clients.”

Ryan added: “More than ever SMEs need to partner with financiers that offer more than just funding, and this is what Bibby Financial Services excels at. I’m delighted to join the business at such a pivotal time in its growth trajectory, and look forward to meeting colleagues, clients and intermediary partners alike over the coming weeks.”
