MS Lending appoints Watson as new relationship manager
Bridging lender MS Lending has hired Amer Watson as relationship manager, where he will manage its existing broker relationships and originate new intermediary relationships.

Watson has worked at SoMo for nearly four years in a variety of business development manager roles, most recently as relationship director.

Prior to that, he worked as new business developer at Eticom for nearly two years, and before that in advisory roles at Carfinance247 and motoring.co.uk.

The lender has also promoted Sam Bryce to junior underwriter and Fay Cripps to senior business processor.

MS Lending’s largest lending month

MS Lending also reported lending of £15m over 35 transactions in August, its most successful month for business since it was launched in 2021.

The company recently secured a £50m funding facility from Pollen Street Capital.

Watson said that he was “really excited” to join the firm following its record month of lending and recent funding line confirmation.

He continued: “Having started my career within bridging four years ago and building up my relationships with brokers across the UK, I felt it was the right time to move onto something new.

“When I spoke to Michael and saw MS Lending’s lofty ambitions for the future and how they have already lent over £60m since inception less than two years ago, I knew this was a move in the right direction.”

Michael Stratton, chief executive and founder of MS Lending, said: “As we enter huge growth on the back of the recently acquired funding line with Pollen Street, I am delighted to welcome Amer to the team.

“He has a huge amount of experience, but most importantly a huge willingness to achieve, which our clients will love. He will be a great asset to the MS Lending Group team.”
