Taylor, who has more than 35 years’ experience in financial services, will chair the Together Group’s credit committee and take responsibility for residential and commercial underwriting, securities, valuations and development funding.
He will also lead on automation initiatives, designed to drive Together’s business forward and grow the group’s loan book, which currently stands at £8.5bn.
Taylor began his career at Barclays before moving to National Australia Bank and later Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), where he held a series of relationship lending and leadership roles, including head of financial institutions at RBS International.
He later led the leisure team within the UK corporate bank before moving into risk management, becoming head of credit for business banking and subsequently head of risk, credit deployment and decisioning, overseeing non-automated underwriting decisions across retail banking and wealth lending at Coutts & Co.

Taylor will report to Dave Sutherland, chief operating officer at Together.
