West One Loans has hired two regional account managers to grow regional support and deepen broker relationships.

Asad Ali will cover the North West of England and Jason Ruse will be responsible for Central London. Both will report to Paul Huxter, head of intermediary sales and distribution at West One Loans.

Ali has over a decade of experience as a business development manager (BDM), having previously held a similar role at Santander.

Ruse joins West One Loans from The Exeter, where he was the head of strategic partnerships. Before that, he was a business development director at Key Group for around four years.

Before that, he spent around eight years at Aegon and previously worked at Legal & General (L&G) for nearly 21 years.

West One Loans said the appointments were “another step” in its “commitment to providing brokers with greater regional access and support, helping them to deliver better outcomes for clients”.

It added that the hires would have a focus on “in-person engagement” and would expand the lender’s reach in two key areas for residential, second charge and buy to let (BTL).

Huxter said: “We’re delighted to welcome Jason and Asad to the team. Their combined experience and deep understanding of intermediary relationships will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our presence in key regions. These appointments reflect our commitment to providing brokers with the local support and expertise they need to deliver the best outcomes for their clients.”

West One Loans recently restructured its mortgage division, bringing together its residential, BTL and second charges into one unit.

The new unit is led by Marie Grundy, and the firm said at the time that the restructure was the next stage of its evolution as it prepares for further growth.
