Interest-only caps will trap mortgage borrowers
I didn’t like it but I always understood why the FSA stated that dual pricing wasn’t a TCF issue but a commercial decision for the bank concerned.
In my opinion the recent interest-only changes have gone too far, too quick and it makes me wonder what role TCF has to play other than trying to encourage brokers to settle complaints before they get to the Ombudsman.
For all the fuss made about TCF it seems to have achieved very little.
