Some advisers not qualified to consult on buy-to-let – expert

Sadly most Buy to Let investors, don’t ask for investment advice and don’t take it if they get it. They have made up their mind and have a property that their heart is set on by the time they see an adviser.

I haven’t positively advised property investment since 2005, except as part of a balanced portfolio.

Investing in a buy to let is not far short of ridiculous for most clients who haven’t used up their ISA allowances and using it as their pension is an extremely poor idea.
