The firm asked brokers which lenders they had found easy and difficult to deal with over the course of this year as part its ‘mind of the market’ study.
Halifax topped the chart, with 56% of brokers commenting that the bank was easy to deal with compared to just 17% who thought felt it required high effort, this gave the lender an overall score of 39.
ING Direct was the next most popular lender, with 57% of advisers saying that placing cases with the lender was low effort compared with 30% voting negatively, giving ING a positive score of 27.
Abbey for Intermediaries and NatWest intermediary Solutions also recorded positive scores in BDRC’s survey.
Specialist lenders also performed well, with BM Solutions earning a positive score of 72 among brokers and The Mortgage Works scoring highly.
