The rise of inexperienced landlords presents an opportunity for mortgage brokers in the buy-to-let market, according to Paragon Mortgages.
Moray Hulme, head of sales at the lender, talks to Mortgage Solutions’ Adam Williams about the problems inexperienced landlords can pose but how brokers can turn that in their favour.
In this video, recorded at the Buy to Let Market Forum in London, Hulme was asked whether he was seeing a shift away from landlords with large portfolios towards a new type of investor.
“Since the credit crunch the activity from the professional side of the market reduce and the number of transactions from new and inexperienced landlords increase quite considerably,” he said.
