I did not know sourcing systems dual charge. They charge the broker to use system and the lender to be on the system. Despite this [the] software remains buggy and product data incorrect causing filters to be useless.

It would seem lenders are definitely getting a “bad deal” with these systems… It is quite odd as without the data lenders provide; the sourcing system would be desolate.

Brokers struggle to capitalise on new build growth

I have a client who wishes to offer on a new build flat on a local development, using the Help to Buy equity scheme. They have been told by the developer’s representative that they have to go through their in house mortgage advisers.

This seems to be commonplace and may well explain why two-thirds of brokers have not completed a single case in the last month!

FCA fee revenue drops due to firm refunds

….that just about sums it up. If I had a business which had an almost defined income stream I certainly wouldn’t make a loss. Whoever is holding the purse strings in this organisation really needs to consider their position. Anyway, at least the pension fund is okay!
