I agree, well done to the likes of the Marsden, Hodge Lifetime and the Vernon for increasing the options for those borrowing in or near retirement. Let’s just hope more decide to join this space so we can get a wider choice of products and lending policies. Healthy competition should also improve interest rates and ensure clients benefit from attractively priced solutions.

We also should not forget that the equity release industry has being taking steps to offer clients more flexibility and greater value and there are several plans that will enable clients to service interest via repayments or overpayments. Its fantastic that clients now have more options and I am looking forward to this increasing further.
