Brightstar’s Lloyd-Hayward to embark on 100km walk to fundraise for Dementia UK
William Lloyd-Hayward (pictured), Brightstar Group’s chief operating officer and managing director of Sirius Finance, is taking part in the Walk 100km challenge in June to fundraise for Dementia UK.

Lloyd-Hayward is planning on arranging some local afternoon and evening walks in London in June, with the aim to get people moving and talking about dementia as part of a wider campaign from charity Dementia UK.

He will be joined by Gareth Lewis, managing director of MT Finance. People can join the team for free and commit to walking 100km across the month of June, or donate, by following this link: https://www.justgiving.com/team/walk100dementia?utm_medium=team&utm_content=walk100dementia&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=pfp-share&invite=true

Dementia UK is a specialist dementia nurse charity, supporting those suffering from dementia and their primary caregivers.

Lloyd-Hayward said: “It is obviously a very personal endeavour as my father… is now in full-time care with his dementia. I want to do all I can to keep people talking about this disease, raising awareness and pushing for a real Dementia Action Plan by our new government, which has been promised for too long and not delivered.

“Being active and talking can be taken for granted when you see someone fight this disease, so I want to do what I can in response.”
