Adviser support group, Tenet, has reported an increase in enquiries by advisers of over 26% in the last two months for its non-investment and mortgage network LIME.

The firm highlighted that for brokers selecting a support group, the importance of financial strength and quality infrastructure was on the rise. Tenet said most advisers wanted increased certainty and to align with a group capable of providing diversity and longevity, rather than seeking the cheapest deal.

Keith Richards, distribution & development director at Tenet Group, commented: “Tenet’s recent report and accounts, which demonstrate strong profits during 2009, significant investment back into the business and confirmation that it holds no debts, with cash in the bank of over £24m, will place LIME in a strong position for advisers who will be considering support needs for the long term.

“The FSA’s intent to focus more energy on the mortgage market is also creating a trigger for many smaller directly authorised firms to join a well run and capitalised network, where the regulatory infrastructure is provided and responsibility for advice is shared.”
