The latest RBS Intermediary Partners Forum has been praised for providing brokers with the necessary information needed to survive in the current market.
The forum, held last week at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland, looked at the main issues affecting brokers including diversification and how to add value to client relationships.
The event’s keynote speakers included Grenville Turner, group chief executive of Countrywide, who talked about the present state of the industry and Martin Reynolds, development director of PMS, who discussed opportunities and diversification for brokers in the current environment.
The future of mortgage regulation and the potential opportunities which new government initiatives offer intermediaries was also debated.
Turner said the Forum was important because it allowed industry figures to exchange informed views was important for advisers in a difficult time for the market.

He added: “The Forum was a well attended event which brought together many leading intermediaries. The opportunity to air views and concerns in a constructive and open environment whilst hearing about the ways others have developed their businesses even in these challenging times is always an inspiration”.
