MAB conference pinpoints future for brokers
Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) is to hold its 2010 and Beyond conference next month, aimed
at giving mortgage advisers and estate agents the tools to face the impending changes in the sector.
The event – which will be held on 6 October in Derby’s Pride Park stadium – will focus on how MAB, brokers, estate agents and lenders are responding to changes in the market.
Among the keynote speakers will be Peter Brodnicki, chief executive of MAB, Steve Carruthers, head of corporate accounts at RBS Intermediary Partners, Peter Curran, head of intermediary distribution of Lloyds Banking Group and Mark Saddleton, head of economic & market analysis at Nationwide.
The conference will cover a variety of key market issues, including fee charging for mortgage brokers and protection.
Peter Brodnicki, chief executive of Mortgage Advice Bureau, said the conference would focus on the individuals that had “created their own recovery”, without waiting for the market to pick up.
“Some advisers are adapting to their reduced income but we want to help intermediaries replace that lost income, not learn to live without it. We feel that there are certain challenges for the sector ahead and we want to help the industry prepare for them.”
