Budget 2012: Osborne confirms another £150m for property developers
The Chancellor confirmed an extra £150m for the Get Britain Building scheme topping up funding intended to kick-start stalled developments to £570m.
The scheme pre-announced yesterday but confirmed today has already attracted over 224 schemes across the country to shortlist stage to date.
The Homes and Communities Agency is responsible for allocating the funding to building projects.
In Mortgage Solutions live budget programme, AMI director Robert Sinclair, said this funding, alongside the NewBuy launch in mid-March and Right to Buy discounts will work together to create jobs and eventually spur on the market.
