Client Data Systems (CDS) Group has launched a Twitter feed alerting brokers as mortgage product changes go live on the Core site.

CDS said the feed at https://twitter.com/#!/TheCoreUpdates is vital for intermediaries to be confident that the information on their sourcing system is up to date, especially when products are being withdrawn.

Incorrect products being shown in sourcing results can waste time and intermediaries risk looking unprofessional in the eyes of clients if they recommend an unavailable product, said CDS Group.

Richard Hurst, marketing director at Client Data Systems, said: “Brokers are often frustrated at the speed at which systems update data and it often takes over 24 hours for other systems to reflect product changes. TheCore updates products as they happen and so as soon as our data team are notified of a product change they make this change to the live database.

“This Twitter account now means that brokers can see when changes are live and we also think that it will be an interesting tool for brokers using other systems to see if changes are being made at a similar speed.”
