The lender, part of the bigger Yorkshire Building Society group, will offer the products direct to consumers through its branches and telephone operation.

It will offer the mortgage at 3.84% on properties across England and Wales. As well as being fee-free the lender includes a free valuation, free legal fees for remortgagors and £200 cash back for purchasers.

This is the lowest price 10-year fixed rate product on the market at present.

Yorkshire Building Society currently offers a 10-year fix at 3.99% while Woolwich, mortgages from Barclays also has a product below 4% as part of its range.
