Countrywide Surveying Services has appointed ex-Colleys manager Matthew Cumber director of field operations.

Cumber has worked for Lloyds Banking Group for the last 11 years at a senior level within HBOS, Lloyds Intermediary and Colleys.

As director of field operations, Cumber will be responsible for maximising the operational efficiency of the group’s surveying workforce and assisting with the development of new products and services for Countrywide’s extensive client base, said the group.

He reports to Paul Wareham, managing director at Countrywide Surveying Services.

Countrywide Surveying Services is an appointed valuer to some of the key UK lenders and its 460 surveyors handle around 30% of all UK residential transactions.

Cumber said: “I am a strong believer in building success through motivating people to do great things. Countrywide’s renewed focus on its people and customers is an ideal platform on which to build and I am very excited about adding my experience to help Countrywide achieve its ambitions.”
