Poll: Are you actively seeking more specialist mortgage business this year? Vote now
This week’s poll asks if your firm is actively targeting more specialist business from the bridging, seconds and commercial sectors, to buy to let or even older customers with interest-only mortgages.
On sister title, Specialist Lending Solutions, mergers and acquisitions consultant Quayle Munro said the future is looking bright for the specialist lenders.
Yashin Mody, its associate director said: “The specialists took their knocks back in 2007/08 and they’ve come back stronger, fitter and with better propositions and better technology. There’s every reason to believe that the next decade could be a transformative time for the sector. The mainstream mortgage market is there to be disrupted, if the specialists can seize the opportunity.”
