Thompson has been working at the specialist bank in an interim position since November 2017.

In his new role he will push the lender’s retail finance strategy forward with customers and brokers.

Thomson has previously worked at Newcastle Building Society as customer director and also held senior roles at Principality Building Society.

He has worked in financial services for the last 27 years after starting his career with HBOS.
